At Intrepid, we appreciate how difficult it is to make that first move to look for help for a substance abuse problem. Discussing your issues with strangers can be intimidating. That’s why we make admissions to Intrepid Detox as easy as possible, as you can see:
You may call us, or you might wish to meet in person. One of our admissions specialists will speak with you privately to discuss your personal history, your goals, and the treatment options that will best suit your needs. All information is strictly confidential, so you don’t need to worry. At this time, you and your family will be given information on our treatment programs, insurance accepted, and payment options.
We know that a lot of clients prefer to get treatment far away from the people, situations, and environments that triggered their problems. If this is you, we can provide you with location and travel information. We’ll also answer any other questions about South Florida that you might have.
After your initial call, one of the admissions specialists will call you back to gather any information that we need for your admittance into a treatment program. You will choose the date you want to enter treatment, but it’s recommended not to wait. People tend to doubt their ability to recover when they hold off for too long. We will let you know what to bring with you and what to expect during treatment.
When you arrive at Intrepid Detox, you will need a medical and psychological evaluation. Through this, we can better help you plan your journey through recovery and long-term abstinence. During your evaluation, you will provide personal information about yourself and any medical and mental issues you have been struggling with, beyond your substance abuse. Unlike some treatment centers, Intrepid Recovery is equipped to deal with co-occurring mental and substance use disorders.
Book an AppointmentIntrepid accepts most major insurance carriers that have mental health, behavioral health, or substance abuse coverage. Since the Affordable Care Act, most insurance companies are required to offer mental health and substance abuse treatment.
Some insurance companies do not cover the entire cost of treatment. In that case, you can use a credit card, or secure a private loan. If you’re not sure what your insurance will cover, or you have any other questions, don’t hesitate to call us.
You made the major decision to get help. When you arrive to be admitted to Intrepid Detox, you will have an evaluation so we will know the best way to start you on your journey. If you have a severe addiction, you may need a medical detox and we will provide that right here at our facility.
Withdrawal can be extremely uncomfortable, and a supervised medical detox can ease the symptoms, shorten the period of withdrawal, and get you ready to enter your treatment program. After completing detox, you will enter the treatment program that has been determined to be best for you. This will be based on your initial evaluation and your input about your needs and recovery goals.
When you begin treatment, you will have a confidential relationship with a counselor who will coach you along your path to recovery. Together, you will design a treatment program that will be the most beneficial for you. At Intrepid Detox, we want to see you succeed and have many ways to help you do it.
