Shannon Moyel earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Florida Atlantic University and her Master of Social Work from Barry University, bringing 6 years of behavioral health experience to her role as Primary Therapist. Shannon’s path to this field was shaped by her own struggles as an adolescent and young adult, and she is driven by a genuine desire to give back to the field that, in her words, saved her life.
Shannon specializes in working with clients across a wide range of backgrounds, with a particular interest in young adults navigating Borderline Personality Disorder and co-occurring disorders. She draws primarily from CBT, DBT, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to guide clients through meaningful, lasting change. Her approach is gentle but direct — compassionate enough to meet clients where they are, and honest enough to push them toward their best work.
Having sat in the client’s shoes herself, Shannon brings a rare authenticity to the therapeutic relationship, letting clients see her humanity while maintaining the boundaries that make the work effective.
Outside of the office, Shannon enjoys cooking, writing, reading, hitting the gym, and catching live music whenever she can.
